Crucial Conversations:
Race in America
Book Club

WHAT?

This six-month book club will explore issues around the history of race relations and our collective memory of the South in partnership with the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site.

WHEN?

Each session, on the second Thursday of the month, will include a brief presentation by a local scholar followed by a discussion of the book.

WHERE?

All program discussions will be virtual on Zoom and live streamed through the CALS YouTube channel. Viewers on the CALS YouTube channel will be able to view the program but will not be able to participate in the book discussion.

HOW DO I GET A COPY OF THE BOOK?

Ten copies of each book are available to borrow through the CALS Roberts Library (local pickup at any CALS branch). These can be reserved through the Zoom registration form for each monthly discussion (NOT through other CALS branches or CALS.org). Additional copies of the titles are available for checkout through the library catalog at CALS.org.
