Guided by user data and accessibility best practices, we’ve redesigned websites across the Central Arkansas Library System to make it easier to navigate, explore, and connect with our resources. Here are some of the key updates you’ll notice on the Roberts Library site:

Simplified navigation

We’ve streamlined RobertsLibrary.org to just five main “mega-menu” tabs. Some sections have been reorganized for clarity:

Improved content browsing

Instead of tile-based content lists for collections material, most pages now feature searchable content lists, making it faster to find what you need. You can see this in action on the Digitized Yearbooks page where you can search by title, location, or school.

Enhanced events visibility

Upcoming events are now highlighted on both the homepage and the Events mega-menu tab. You’ll also find easy access buttons in both places to view all Roberts Library events.

Location information now on CALS.org

The Visit / Location & Hours links now redirect to a more detailed branch page on CALS.org. There, you’ll find:

  • Meeting room information
  • Current hours of operation
  • Interactive maps highlighting both our location and the location of parking in CALS Library Square to help you get oriented before your visit

More effective contact options

Our contact form (most easily found by clicking “Questions?” in the top right hand of the site) has been upgraded to better route your questions. Simply select the option that best matches your needs, and the appropriate staff member will follow up.

For a full walkthrough, we’ve created a short introduction video highlighting these features and more.

Happy exploring!
