The CALS Bobby L. Roberts Library of Arkansas History & Art houses the Galleries at Library Square, the CALS Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Center for Arkansas History and Culture, and the Encyclopedia of Arkansas.

The CALS Butler Center for Arkansas Studies archival collections, along with the archival collections of UA Little Rock Center for Arkansas History and Culture, contain more than 10 million documents and photographs relating to Arkansas history.

At the CALS Roberts Library Research Room on the 2nd floor, visitors can access items from the archival collections as well as view resources from the open and closed stacks, access microfilm collections, and use online resources such as,, and available for public use.
