Collection Finding Aids

The CALS Butler Center for Arkansas Studies archival collection offers unique glimpses into the state’s history through correspondence, photographs, and other original materials. The major areas of focus for the collection include the involvement of Arkansans in the American Civil War, Reconstruction, World War I, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, as well as the history of Little Rock/Pulaski County businesses, Little Rock School desegregation and its aftermath, Japanese American internment in Arkansas, and farming history. Many of the collections depict the daily life of Arkansans in Central Arkansas by preserving the cultural, political, literary, military, and environmental history of Pulaski and Perry Counties.
