The Central Arkansas Library System includes two sources for unique gifts and for art made by Arkansas artists: the Bookstore and the Galleries at Library Square.

Now, our staff can help you find one-of-a-kind gifts so you can shop with comfort and safety while social distancing. You can contact us by email to order items or get suggestions based on the tastes of your loved one. Our stores hold an amazing variety of curated items, and our staff is ready to help!

The Bookstore at Library Square

Ordering online through our Bookstore, you can find many literary or novelty gifts to make your loved one smile. Our selections can be funny, quirky, or thoughtful depending on your needs. We also stock hundreds of gently used books by your favorite authors, priced at deep discounts (often $4-$8).

Shipping from the Bookstore is FREE. To place your order, please email librarybookstore@cals.org with the titles you’d like to select. See our selection below for a few ideas, or browse our Facebook page.  Or, if you’re looking for a certain author or book title, let us know and we’ll see if it’s on our shelves!

In your email, please provide us with a phone number so our Bookstore staff can call you about your order. You’ll also receive a little treat from us as well. Our team will try to ship the orders out within 24 hours. And rest assured we will be handling everything with the utmost care and safety.

The Galleries at Library Square

At our Galleries, we have a wide variety of handmade, locally-crafted items including gift cards, jewelry, kitchenware, home décor, pottery, and of course, fine paintings and sculpture by well-known Arkansas artists. Whether your tastes run to natural landscapes or to whimsical animal art, you will find something perfect for you or for your loved one.

Our curators and staff can either arrange a curbside pickup for you or mail a shipment to an address of your choosing (shipping charges will apply).  Most of our huge assortment of gifts and artworks can be shipped.
