Signs of Fall at the Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square

As we head into the cooler days of fall, the Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square, located on the first floor of the CALS Bobby L. Roberts Library of Arkansas History & Art, is loaded with treasures and treats for your eyes. We have art from amazingly talented Arkansas artists, as well as fun and engaging books written by Arkansas authors. The selection of art includes super realistic paintings, pumpkins made of blown glass, and upcycled jewelry. Books by local authors include pandemic perspectives, things to please your palate, and…puppies!

Stay awhile and enjoy a little artistic inspiration. Find a one-of-a-kind treasure to take home. Buy a gift for someone you love–maybe a hand-crafted funny greeting card or silly egg separator? We now have handmade soaps and scented candles, as well as tons of totes and literary-themed gifts.

Visit the CALS Roberts Library to browse works for sale and display, including rotating exhibitions and shows by local artists as well as artists from Arkansas who have made an impact on the national and international art scene. Works from the Central Arkansas Library System’s permanent art collection are also displayed regularly. The Galleries & Bookstore at Library Square offers a wide selection of items by Arkansas artists and artisans that make perfect souvenirs to remember a trip to Arkansas or gifts for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, or no reason at all. And shopping local feels good.
